Ad Copy Policy Checker
Paste your Meta ad text and instantly spot words and claims that often lead to rejections, with safer ways to say the same thing.
Getting repeated rejections or account restrictions?
See our Business Manager setup service →This checker flags common risky words and patterns. It does not review images, videos or landing pages, and it cannot guarantee Meta's approval. Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
How the Ad Copy Policy Checker Works
The checker scans your primary text, headline and description for words and patterns that commonly lead to Meta ad rejections. Each match is highlighted in your copy, grouped by category and paired with a safer way to say the same thing.
It also counts your characters, so you can see when your text may be cut off. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
Keep in mind that Meta reviews the whole ad, including images, videos and the landing page. A clean result here lowers your risk, but it does not guarantee approval.
Common Reasons Meta Rejects Ad Copy
Personal Attributes
Ads cannot assert or imply something personal about the reader, such as their health, finances, age or relationships. "Are you in debt?" is likely to be rejected, while "We help people manage debt" is usually fine.
Unrealistic Promises
Guaranteed results, instant transformations and absolute claims are often treated as misleading. Realistic, specific wording builds more trust and passes review more easily.
Income Claims
Promising fast money or specific earnings is one of the quickest ways to get an ad rejected. Focus on the skill, product or service instead of the income.
Health and Weight-Loss Claims
Medical promises, weight-loss results and before-and-after comparisons are heavily restricted. Describe the product and experience rather than results on the body.
Engagement Bait
Asking people to like, share, comment or tag friends just to boost reach is treated as engagement bait and can reduce your ad's delivery.
Implying Meta Endorsement
Your ad must not suggest that Meta, Facebook or Instagram approves of or partners with your business.
Recommended Text Lengths
As a general guide, keep primary text around 125 characters, headlines around 40 characters and descriptions around 30 characters. Longer text is allowed, but it may be cut off depending on the placement and device.
Why Rejections Matter for Your Account
A single rejected ad is easy to fix, but repeated rejections can affect your ad account's standing and raise the risk of a restriction. If your ads are often rejected, check your overall setup with our BM Restriction Risk Checker.
Frequently Asked Questions
If my ad passes this checker, will Meta approve it?
Not always. The checker catches common risky wording, but Meta reviews the whole ad, including images, videos, targeting and the landing page.
Why was a normal word flagged?
Some words are only risky in certain contexts. If a flagged word is used in a clearly acceptable way, you can keep it, but reading the explanation helps you decide.
Is my ad text saved anywhere?
No. The checker runs entirely in your browser. Your text is not saved, and it is not sent to us or to Meta.
Does it check images or videos?
No. It only checks the text you enter. Review your images and videos separately, especially for before-and-after visuals or text that makes personal claims.
