This checker compares text only. It does not check your documents or connect to Meta, and nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere.

    Why It Matters

Why Small Mismatches Make Verification Fail

When you verify your business, Meta compares the details in your Business Manager with the documents you upload. Differences that look harmless to a person, such as "Ltd" instead of "Limited" or "St." instead of "Street", are one of the most common reasons verification is rejected or delayed.

Checking your details before you submit saves days of waiting and avoids repeated rejections on your account.

    How to Use the Checker

In the left column, type your business details exactly as they appear on the document you plan to upload. In the right column, type them exactly as they appear in your Business Manager. The checker compares each field and highlights the words that differ, with a tip on how to fix each one.

Results are grouped into three levels: an exact match, a small difference such as capital letters, punctuation or a common abbreviation, and details that do not match at all.

    Common Mismatches to Watch For

    • Company type: "Limited" vs "Ltd", "Incorporated" vs "Inc", "Private" vs "Pvt".
    • Address abbreviations: "Street" vs "St.", "Road" vs "Rd.", "Suite" vs "Ste".
    • Trading name vs legal name: using a brand name instead of the registered legal name.
    • Missing details: a floor, unit or suite number on the document but not in Business Manager.
    • Old addresses: a document showing a previous address after a move.
    • Phone formats: numbers with and without a country code.

    Choosing the Right Document

Use an official document that clearly shows your legal business name and address, such as a business registration certificate, a recent utility bill or a bank statement in the business name. The exact documents Meta accepts depend on your country, so check the list shown during verification.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Does Meta really need an exact match?

Meta's review compares details closely, and small differences are a common reason for rejection. Matching your document exactly is the safest approach.

Can I use my brand name instead of my legal name?

For business verification, use the legal name shown on your official documents. Your Page and ads can still show your brand name.

What if my business address has changed?

Use a recent document that shows your current address, and make sure Business Manager shows that same address before you submit.

Is the information I enter saved?

No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is saved, and nothing is sent to us or to Meta.
